The LEGO Movie’s first trailer debuted today and is probably not like anything you imagined this movie would be.

The LEGO Movie trailer includes a boat load of well known characters in their LEGO forms, including Michelangelo from the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Green Ninja, and “the 2002 NBA All Stars.” There’s also a new LEGO character, Emmett, who enters the LEGO world and has to save them from peril.

The LEGO Movie (all CGI, by the way) hits theaters in 3D February 7, 2014. It is being distributed by Warner Bros., and voice cast members include Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman.

Though we all played with LEGOs when we were kids, will you see the film in theaters next year? Unsurprisingly, the movie is aiming for a younger audience and appears to be packed with humor.

This is the first time the LEGO world has ever been brought to life for theatrical release. If it’s a hit with the younger audience, we can imagine at least one sequel and a huge line of merchandise. The latter will surely arrive in February.

Harry Potter has had a huge presence in the LEGO franchise and is closely connected with Warner Bros., but unfortunately the lead wizard character is not a part of this movie.
