Warner Bros. has set a release date for The Lego Movie sequel as it continues to perform well at the box office.

The yet-to-be-titled Lego Movie follow-up will hit theaters May 26, 2017.

Earlier this month we told you that a sequel was already in development at Warner Bros, so this announcement shouldn’t come as too big a surprise.

The animated movie is set in a world based on the classic construction blocks and features popular characters like Batman and Wonder Woman (not to mention surprise cameos). The film has received rave reviews from critics and moviegoers alike, and its lead song “Everything Is Awesome” has performed well online. As of this writing, the song has garnered over 2 million plays on YouTube.

The Lego Movie has made $151 million at the domestic box office and $51 million overseas. This weekend should be another strong one for the film.

The voice cast is made up of actors like Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Alison Brie, Charlie Day, Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman.
