Accio Hogwarts! At New York Toy Fair, LEGO revealed that new Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts sets will be released in 2018.

We may not have received our Hogwarts letters, but thanks to LEGO we can now own a little piece of the school itself.

As first revealed at New York Toy Fair, the set features several character mini-figures and careful details that could only have been designed by a true Potterhead.

There are some staple pieces, of course, like the reversible house banners, broomsticks and cauldrons, but there are some surprising and delightful additions that make this a truly special piece. There are floating candles, the Mirror of Erised (which has interchangeable images), Hagrid’s pink umbrella, a basilisk, and much, much more.

The vice president of licensing and entertainment for the LEGO Group, Jill Wilfert, said, “When it first launched in 2001, LEGO Harry Potter was a global sellout due to its broad appeal and ability to spark imaginative play, so we’re thrilled to go deeper into the Wizarding World to bring even more magic and excitement to LEGO play. The Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts stories are perfectly suited to construction play, and our designers cannot wait for fans to see how the films are reimagined in our new collection of building sets and collectibles.”

The mini-figures included in the Great Hall set are Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Professor McGonagall, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Susan Bones, Nearly Headless Nick, and Professor Quirrel, who has a dual Lord Voldemort face you can spin around. As for magical creatures, the aforementioned basilisk will feature, as well as Fawkes, Hedwig and Scabbers.

The Hogwarts Great Hall set will hit shelves on August 1. It will be comprised of 878-pieces across four-levels and retail for $99.99.

We also noticed a few Technic pin-hole bricks on the build, suggesting that this will connect to future Harry Potter LEGO sets.
