Warner Bros. has signed on two big names for their upcoming animated film, Lego!

Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) and Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight Rises) have joined Warner Brothers’ upcoming animated 3D filmed, titled Lego, which will be released on February 28, 2014.  The specifics of the characters are being kept quiet, but Banks and Freeman are joining Chris Pratt and Will Arnett in Lego. Arnett is reportedly voicing the part of a Lego Batman character.

Deadline describes the fun plot as “an ordinary Lego mini-figure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together.”

The 21 Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will be teaming up again to direct Lego as well. Both Lord and Miller also co-wrote the script. Based upon the hilarity and success of 21 Jump Street, we’re really looking forward to seeing what they have in store for Lego!

Banks was most recently seen in What to Expect When You’re Expecting and People Like Us, and is currently gearing up to reprise her role as Effie Trinket in Catching Fire.  Freeman was seen as Mr. Fox in the final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy this summer, and will be seen in Oblivion alongside Tom Cruise next year.

What do you think of Lego thus far?
