DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has tapped a fan favorite from USA’s Mr. Robot for a multi-episode arc.

Stephanie Corneliussen, who played Joanna Wellick on the breakout summer series Mr. Robot, will play Valentina Vostok for multiple episodes on Legends of Tomorrow, reports TVLine.

The character is being described as “a gifted and beautiful Soviet physicist who will stop at nothing to defend her precious ‘Motherland.'” The Legends will encounter Valentina “at the height of the Cold War” and “suspect her of working with Vandal Savage on a secret weapon.”

To determine her true allegiance, “Ray/The Atom and Leonard/Captain Cold must vie for Valentina’s affection in an attempt to thaw her cold heart,” all “before she completes her project and potentially turns the tide of the Cold War.”

In the DC Comics, Valentina Vostok was a Lt. Colonel in the Soviet Air Force who stole an experimental Russian fighter plane to defect to America. On her way, however, she crashed in the same location where the original Doom Patrol allegedly perished, and she fused with the negative energy being that formerly inhabited the body of Negative Man. This granted her the ability to transform into a negative energy being herself, and she took on the name Negative Woman.

After defecting to the United States, Valentina joined the second incarnation of the Doom Patrol. She would go on to work for several American government departments, taking on the name White Queen and replacing Amanda Waller.

Corneliussen’s prior roles include guest spots on Royal Pains, Bad Judge and The Exes.

Legends of Tomorrow premieres at mid-season on The CW.
