There’s no way Legacies season 2, episode 12 is going to end well. We’ve never gotten a synopsis this vague before.

In case you aren’t aware, at the end of Legacies season 2, episode 10, we found out that Alaric has a pretty dark little secret about where all of the Salvatore School’s most troubled students have been sent over the years.

Thanks to Alyssa Chang’s need for revenge, Alaric and the twins found themselves trapped in the same prison world Lizzie and Josie constructed as kids for their psychotic uncle, Kai. And while it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing much of Kai and company in this week’s Cupid-themed episode, his return is not far away now.

This is the synopsis we have been given for Legacies season 2, episode 12, “Kai Parker Screwed Us”:

CHRIS WOOD RETURNS AS THE VILLAINOUS KAI PARKER

When a series of events leads Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) to the prison world, they come face to face with the twins’ evil uncle Kai (guest star Chris Wood).

Yup.

That’s it. That’s all they gave us. We knew everything that synopsis just told us the second Legacies season 2, episode 10 finished airing.

This does lead me to believe that we won’t be seeing much of Alaric, Lizzie, and Josie while Cupid is running around the Salvatore School in Legacies season 2, episode 11, “What Cupid Problem?” Maybe just a quick check-in or something.

But that’s literally all you can read into that synopsis, which has me VERY worried. Especially since we know that Legacies season 2, episode 13 is titled, “You Can’t Save Them All.” I mean, come on. How much clearer could this be.

I’m calling it now: Someone isn’t going to make it out of the next three episodes alive. It may or may not be permanent, as this is the TVD Universe after all, but there is going to be death, and I really don’t think it’s going to be Landon the phoenix this time.

So, considering all these bread crumbs, who do we think is possibly on the chopping block?

The ‘In Danger’ squad

Alaric Saltzman

So, this guy has died and come back to life more times than just about anyone at this point. If you add up the Gilbert ring deaths, the Original vampire thing, and a couple of other special circumstances, Alaric is no stranger to death and near-death experiences.

His terrible actions in the Legacies season 1 finale that lead to Triad being able to take over the school, paired with the new revelation of his sending troublemakers to Kai’s prison world, may just be enough for him to not be able to redeem himself. At least without sacrificing himself for his daughters in Legacies season 2, episode 12.

The only reason that I have trouble believing Alaric may be on the chopping block is because I can’t imagine Julie Plec would want to leave the Saltzman sisters parent-less, at least on the show. If we got a surprise announcement about Candace King coming back, then I would really panic.

Hope Mikaelson

She’s our main character, so if she died, it would have to be a temporary situation, much like Elena’s death in The Vampire Diaries season 3 finale. And since we know that Hope doesn’t currently have access to her full tribrid strength because she hasn’t died and activated her vampire side, this could be the opportunity.

However, that episode 13 title, “You Can’t Save Them All,” gives me serious doubts that the youngest Mikaelson is on the chopping block. She’s more than likely the one trying to save everyone in that scenario.

Josie Saltzman

This is based entirely on the whole dark magic thing looming over her head. Josie knows that if the Mora Miserium breaks, all that dark magic she thought she was rid of will overwhelm her. In that situation, it may force the hand of someone close to her to kill her in order to stop a dark reign of terror.

If Josie were to die in Legacies season 2, episode 12, we know there’s a chance she could come back as a heretic if she died with vampire blood in her system. While I don’t necessarily wish this for the dark-haired twin, it would help solve the Merge problem… I think.

Lizzie Saltzman

Since Lizzie, Josie, and Alaric were sent to the prison world, it just makes sense that one of them is going to bite it before Legacies episode 12 is said and done.

I could see a future in which Lizzie sacrifices herself to save Josie, especially since we saw how miserable Lizzie would be in the world without her twin last season thanks to the jinni. Lizzie, too, could become a heretic, and since we already know that Sebastian has a connection with the fairer Saltzman, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he gives her a taste of his blood before she dies.

Any of our other Salvatore School friends

If the writers really want to deliver a punch in Legacies season 2, episode 12 (and we know Julie Plec can be merciless at times), they will take out one of our other main/recurring characters. If Kai somehow makes it back to Mystic Falls, M.G., Kaleb, Wade, Jed, Emma, Dorian, Raf, and even Landon could be in serious trouble.

I’m really hoping that if the Gemini Coven leader does find his way back to present-day Legacies, he’s got something more than murder on his mind.

What do you think that vague synopsis for ‘Legacies’ season 2, episode 12 is all about?
