Jayce will become champion number 100 available to summoners in League of Legends, in a patch that sees changes to many champions including Orianna, Nunu, Shen, Karthus, Soraka, and LeBlanc. 

Jayce, the Defender of Tomorrow, will have both a melee and a ranged weapon available to use. New skills will become available to him when he switches from Mercury Hammer to Mercury Cannon, giving him the potential to fill many roles within a team. We’re not quite sure what to make of Jayce yet – interesting or gimmicky? Either way, the champion spotlight sure makes it look like he’s fun to play.
