Speaking to Hypable at a San Diego Comic-Con roundtable, the Glee star revealed she would love to play the lead role of Elphaba in Wicked!
On Thursday we learnt that Billy Elliot director Stephen Daldry would be directing a movie adaptation of the hugely successful broadway musical. Ever since then, the internet has been abuzz with people predicting and debating who would star. We even got in on the action with a list of our casting picks, and Lea was our top choice for Elphaba.
Hypable’s Andrew Sims asked her if she would be interested in the role, to which she replied: “Yes, yes, yes. I will literally go home and paint myself green. Chris Colfer and I went on that stage set and were freaking out over everything.”
