Last night, Glee‘s Lea Michele announced that she is on her way to recording her first album as a solo artist!
Last night, via her Twitter account, Lea announced the big news:
Just had a very exciting music meeting and am proud to announce that im officially on the road to making my first album! I’m so excited!
Earlier this week, Lea also became the official spokeswoman for L’Oreal cosmetics, which she also announced via Twitter.
It’s obviously a huge week for the Glee star!
But there are so many questions that come along with such a tweet, right? For instance, when will the album be out? What genre of music will it be? Will there be any sort of Glee tie-in? When will we hear the first single?!
Over the summer, Naya Rivera surprised fans at Comic-Con San Diego when she announced that her album is on its way and that the first single is titled “My Heart.” Glee‘s Kevin McHale chimed in to confirm that the dance/pop song is amazing! Amber Riley and Darren Criss have also briefly mentioned solo albums, with Riley’s expected within the next year.
Unfortunately we won’t have any details other than what we can get spoon-fed from Lea’s Twitter account! A few minutes after tweeting the announcement she also thanked fans for the outpouring of support:
