It has been a long 7 months after Cory’s death and Lea is finally showing the world a glimpse into her journey to recovery. On her debut album, Louder, the final track is a clear dedication to the singer’s late boyfriend. Titled “If You Say So,” the song is about the final words Cory spoke to her.

 

With lyrics like “I thought we would grow old” and “I can’t believe it’s true/I keep looking for you”, it’s hard not to tear up knowing just how much pain Lea went through after his death. .

Fans are happy to hear Lea finally talk about her loss and to know that she is using music as a way of coping and allowing herself to move on. Though, Cory clearly left his mark on her heart forever.

In UK’s Glamour Magazine, the singer opened up about her last conversation with her boyfriend, saying her last words to him were “I love you.”  The Glee star also revealed “We talked about children… where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We were done. We were it.”

It was life and a relationship that was cut off too soon but it will now live on forever in the form of this beautiful ballad.
