James Corden will take over The Late Late Show – which currently stars Craig Ferguson – on March 9, 2015.

CBS made the announcement via press release on Thursday morning and named Ben Winston executive producer. He currently exec produces the U.K.’s X Factor.

“We’re excited to begin CBS’s next chapter after midnight and introduce James’ wide range of performance talents and fearless creative instincts to American television viewers,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman of CBS Entertainment, in a press release. “He and Ben have been friends for a long time and partnered together on a variety of successful projects. They are a creatively dynamic and very energetic host/producer combination.”

Ferguson’s last show is slated for December 19, 2014. He announced his departure this past April.

What will The Late Late Show do in between Ferguson’s end date and Corden’s start date? Vulture’s Joe Adalian reported on Twitter today that CBS will have guest hosts helm The Late Late Show during the three month gap.

An official end date for David Letterman’s Late Show, and a start date for Stephen Colbert, have yet to be announced. We only know that it will take place sometime in 2015.
