There are three days remaining until the Maze Runner trailer is released, and Wes Ball shared a final image today from the movie ahead of Monday.

For the past nine weeks, director Wes Ball has been sharing exclusive stills from the movie in anticipation of the film release. On Twitter he says that this will be the last image he shares for a while, since the trailer should hold our attention for some time.

‘You don’t understand, shuck-face! You don’t know anything, and you’re just making it worse by trying to have hope!’

It’s hard to tell what moment exactly this still is taken from. But the dark ominous tone is unlike any other Maze Runner image we’ve seen yet.

From the image it looks as though Thomas and Minho are the characters featured and they are running through the maze at night. An epic mistake if you’re hoping to stay alive.

If we study the image and compare it to the book, this might take place after Thomas’ noble, and arguably reckless, attempt to help the boys left behind in the maze.

Though whatever moment this is taken from, there is absolutely no doubt that we are in for quite a treat once The Maze Runner hits the big screen. Week after week, Ball has treated us to a host of interesting and visually pleasing photos.
