Jojo Moyes’ Last Letter From Your Lover is getting a big screen adaptation starring Felicity Jones, Shailene Woodley, and Joe Alwyn.

The romcom renaissance continues!

Jojo Moyes’ 2012 book Me Before You was adapted into a feature film starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin in 2016. Now, another of the popular author’s books is being adapted as a feature film, with some similarly big star power behind it.

Originally published in 2010, The Last Letter From Your Lover has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, and the movie version will be lead by Oscar-nominated Theory of Everything star Felicity Jones, alongside Big Little Lies lead Shailene Woodley.

It won’t just be talented women in front of the camera, either. The movie will be helmed by Euphoria director Augustine Frizzell, and both Jones and Woodley will also executive-produce the movie.

According to EW, Joe Alwyn (known for his work in The Favourite and as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) has also joined the cast.

The Last Letter from Your Lover is a dual-narrative love story set across London and the Riviera.

Felicity Jones will play Ellie, a journalist in modern-day London who stumbles upon the love letters of two people in the 1960s. She begins to read them, and subsequently becomes enamored with the story behind the series of letters that outlines a passionate, yet star-crossed romance between Shailene Woodley’s Jennifer Stirling and Callum Turner’s (Fantastic Beasts) Anthony O’Hare in the 1960s.

The further Ellie is drawn into the story, the more obsessed she becomes with discovering the lovers’ identities and finding out how their love story ends in the hopes that it will inspire her own real-life happy ending.

Nabhaan Rizwan (who was in the Informer and 1917) will also star in the film, though we currently don’t know in what role.

The film begins shooting in Mallorca next Monday, before moving to the U.K. in the weeks ahead. A release date for The Last Letter From Your Lover has yet to be announced.
