Tiffany Haddish is gearing up to take on the world of sci-fi when it comes to her next big screen project.

According to Deadline, actress Tiffany Haddish is currently in final negotiations to join the cast of MGM’s upcoming sci-fi picture, Landscape with Invisible Hand.

The forthcoming sci-fi flick is based off of M.T. Anderson’s National Book Award winning novel of the same name, which was first published in 2017.

Landscape with Invisible Hand takes place in a futuristic world where an alien species, which goes by the name of the Vuvv, have taken over Earth. The Vuvv’s takeover of Earth has caused quite a shift in the job market, thanks to the introduction of the alien’s labor saving technology. That tech turn out to be a double edged sword because while efficient, it also causes the global economy to collapse. Enter a teenager and his girlfriend, who, in an effort to make a bit of extra cash, decide to start broadcasting their dating life.

The Vuvv might be glued to the couple’s broadcasts, but things take a turn for the worst for the couple in question when their relationship turns rocky and neither can breakup with the other without losing the much needed source of income their broadcasts rake in that keeps their families afloat.

Currently, there’s no word on who Tiffany Haddish might play in the forthcoming adaptation, which is being written and directed by Bad Education helmer, Cory Finley.

There’s also no word via MGM with regards to when we might expect to see Landscape with Invisible Hand hit the big screen.
