Now that the dust has somewhat settled on the highly-criticized performance from Lana Del Rey on SNL, the singer, whose album is out today, sat down with Rolling Stone to talk about her perspective on it. We’ve already heard what Daniel Radcliffe, host of the same episode, had to say about it. You might be surprised what Lana has to say.

Rolling Stone caught up with Lana, and the singer’s thoughts were that she actually did a good job:

“I actually felt good about it. I thought I looked beautiful and sang fine.”

Rolling Stone highlights the backlash that happened as a result of the performance:

The backlash to that performance has been pretty harsh.
There’s backlash about everything I do. It’s nothing new. When I walk outside, people have something to say about it. It wouldn’t have mattered if I was absolutely excellent. People don’t have anything nice to say about this project. I’m sure that’s why you’re writing about it.

Watch the two performances from SNL below and see if you think Lana “sang fine.”
