After planning a Twitter trending game in which Little Monsters had to guess the next single, Lady Gaga has now announced that her second single will be “Venus.”

Gaga asked fans to make guesses as to which song would be her second ARTPOP single and required the predictions be trended on Twitter. After a few successful attempts in which “MANiCURE,” “Gypsy,” and “Donatella” all trended, fans made “Venus” go viral and Gaga confirmed the song would be her second ARTPOP single.

The pop superstar says “Venus” will be released October 27 worldwide. In her announcement tweet she used several hashtags which may clue listeners into some of the song’s lyrics: “TAKEMETOYOURPLANET,” “TAKEMETOYOURLEADER,” “TAKEMETOYOURVENUS” were all hash-tagged by Gaga.

The first single to be released from ARTPOP was “Applause.” Earlier this week Gaga released another song from the album titled “Aura” by way of lyric video for a new film she stars in called Machete Kills (in theaters starting today). Following speculation, Gaga confirmed that “Aura” was not the official second single, so unfortunately fans have to rely upon the lyric video or the leaked version to enjoy the song (for now).

ARTPOP drops on November 11, and it’s looking likely that “Venus” will be the only other single released pre-album debut.

Gaga performed several songs from ARTPOP during her iTunes Festival event at the start of September, but she did not include “Venus.” The song’s leak has not occurred yet.

See the official ARTPOP tracklist for a complete list of songs and the album’s artwork.

When Gaga’s “Venus” appears online in the next two weeks, we will be sure to share it with you.
