Lady Gaga has canceled the 10 remaining dates of her European tour, due to “severe pain.”

The singer, who has a condition known as fibromyalgia, has had to back out of the rest of her Joanne World Tour as she is suffering from a particularly severe flare up.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Gaga wrote, “I’m so devastated I don’t know how to describe it. All I know is that if I don’t do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music. My medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home.”

The planned concerts in London, Manchester, Zurich, Cologne, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris and Berlin have all been pulled from Gaga’s schedule. Ticket holders will be able to apply for a refund from February 6.

This isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga has needed to cancel a concert in order to rest from severe pain, stemming from her condition. In September 2017, her Rio de Janeiro concert was canceled due to the singer’s hospitalization.

Lady Gaga spoke frankly about her struggles with fibromyalgia in her Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two. There are several moments where viewers are confronted with Gaga in chronic pain, which leaves her unable to move. That Gaga is often able to perform as much as she does, for prolonged dates, is an incredible feat in and of itself.

In late 2018, Lady Gaga will commence a 74-date residency at the MGM Park Theater in Las Vegas. In recent weeks, rumors have also suggested that Britney Spears – who ended her run at Las Vegas’s Planet Hollywood resort in December 2017 – will be set to take over the spot in 2019.

Hopefully Lady Gaga will be back on her feet again soon, but for now we’re wishing her all the best and for a speedy recovery.
