A new La La Land trailer has been released and finds Emma Stone singing about the struggles of hitting it big in Hollywood.

Ah, Hollywood. When you enter, you’re filled with dreams and believe anything is possible. But as time goes on and you find yourself holed up in your local Starbucks reading or working on your billionth script, once again trying to get that one gig that’ll catapult you into success, you begin to realize that the dream may be tragically, permanently out of reach.

Do you see what I’m saying? For many in Los Angeles, La La Land may hit really close to home — and not only because it’s set in the city they share.

The movie opens in theaters at the end of the year and looks to be an emotional rollercoaster. La La Land follows “Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts.”

“Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.”

Los Angeles’ iconic Griffith Observatory features heavily in the new La La Land trailer as Stone sings the song “Audition.” Watch below:

La La Land co-stars John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott and Josh Pence.
