Sony’s upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot has officially found their trio of kick-ass women.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actresses Kristen Stewart (Twilight), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers, Disney’s live-action Aladdin), and British newcomer Ella Balinska have all joined the cast of the new Charlie’s Angels movie.

Scott, Balinska and Stewart join Pitch Perfect’s Elizabeth Banks, who will be appearing on screen alongside the new Angels as Bosley — the only Townsend detective agency employee who has ever met the mysterious Charlie.

Banks won’t just be co-starring in the upcoming reboot. She’ll also be serving as director for the project.

Just like in the iconic television series and the hit 2000s movie, the Angels will be working together and taking down the bad guys. Don’t expect Stewart, Scott and Balinska to be reprising the roles last held by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu.

Banks’ reboot will focus on a new team of Angels that rises up after the Townsend Agency deicides to go global and open up their intelligence and security services across the globe.

Now that they’ve gone global, the Townsend Agency has got teams all over the world, including the one made up of Stewart, Scott and Balinska’s characters.

In a statement announcing her involvement, Banks spoke of how much she’s looking forward to bringing the world a new generation of Angels.

Charlie’s Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the ’70s,” said Banks. “This film honors the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi, and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world.”

We’ll be looking forward to seeing what Banks cooks up — especially now that she’s found her Angels!

Sony’s Charlie’s Angels reboot is set to hit theaters on September 27, 2019.
