Kristen Stewart is eyeing her next post-Twilight role, as the actress is reportedly in talks to join Ben Affleck in Warner Bros. con artist feature Focus.

With the release of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 just weeks away, Kristen is now in talks with Warner Bros. to join the project, written and directed by Crazy, Stupid, Love duo Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, Deadline reports.

The role Kristen is in line for would be that of an inexperienced con artist who hooks up with Affleck, a more experienced con man who takes her under his wing. Back in October, Affleck signed on for the project, which is still in the early stages of production. In that report, Deadline described the film as “the story of a veteran con man who becomes romantically involved with a newcomer and finds the relationship challenged by their illegal activities. And when they meet again down the line, the complications have long-lasting effects.”

Ficarra and Requa, who also wrote and directed I Love You Phillip Morris, penned the screenplay in addition to their directing duties on the project. Veteran producer Denise Di Novi will serve as the producer on the project, as she did with Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Back in August, Kristen dropped out of another project, the “gritty actioner” Cali, from The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes, with Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike set as the male lead. It has been reported that Kristen dropped out due to the post-cheating scandal fallout, although it now appears she’s ready to start working again as she travels the world in promotion of Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Whether Focus turns out to be a better choice than Cali remains to be seen, although the involvement of Affleck and Ficarra and Requa certainly doesn’t hurt.
