Actress Kristen Stewart has signed on to what can be considered her first post-Twilight role.

She confirmed to Huffington Post that she’ll star opposite Ben Affleck in an upcoming comedy entitled Focus.

“It’s a comedy. I’m really excited about it. We start shooting in April,” said Stewart on the news. The film is reportedly about “an inexperienced con artist” who hooks up with Affleck in at least one passionate love scene.

Affleck seems to be equally excited about the news. The star, who’s been in the headlines recently thanks to his brilliant film Argo, said he hoped Stewart would join because she’s “terrific.”

Stewart has had a big year. Besides The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, she also starred in Snow White and the Huntsman as Snow and On the Road as Marylou. Then there was that very public scandal with Rob Pattinson which ended up resolved.

Other than Focus, the only project she has lined up is the strongly rumored Snow White and the Huntsman 2. Universal wants to move forward on the film but is still deciding on the direction of the franchise. Rupert Sanders, who helmed Huntsman, is likely to not return because it was he who was involved in the aforementioned scandal with Stewart.

Do you think Stewart has the acting chops for a comedy role opposite Affleck?
