When Kol died last season at the hands of Vincent/Finn, we were all emotionally wrecked. Good news, Originals fans! Kol will live this season!
Daniel Sharman breathed new life into Kol’s character last season on The Originals, and it reminded us of how much fun we have when the trouble-making younger Mikaelson is running around wreaking havoc.
We loved him even more when we saw him try to make a genuine connection to Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. It was devastating to watch him die of a hex brought about by the eldest Mikaelson, Finn.
His death bonded Rebekah and Davina, as they both swore to find a way to restore his spirit to a body. Rebekah has had a few things to deal with since, but neither has been quiet about their conviction to bring him back.
We’ve got some good news for Davina and Rebekah. It seems that one of them will succeed in keeping their promise.
Davina will have a lengthy and dangerous journey to get him back, but things are looking good. Michael Narducci, executive producer for The Originals, had this to say about Davina’s quest to bring back the youngest Mikaelson to EW: “In order to reach out to him, she’ll have to embark on a dangerous journey into New Orleans’ supernatural underworld. This will be the first chapter in a storyline that will have long-lasting effects on the entire Mikaelson clan.”
We have no news on what face Kol will be wearing when he does in fact return. Is there any possibility he could look like Daniel Sharman again? We really enjoyed watching Danielle Campbell (Davina) and Daniel on screen. No matter whose face he’s wearing, were certain that Davina will be overjoyed to have her boyfriend back, and I’m sure she’ll find the perfect host for his spirit.
