The full trailer for The King’s Man, the prequel to the Kingsman franchise, is here and full of action and, naturally, tailored suits.

We fell in love with the Kingsman movie franchise when Taron Egerton and Colin Firth brought us into the mysterious world of English independent espionage. However, in The King’s Men, even though the film takes place years before Eggsy ever lays eyes on the Kingsman shop, the trailer still has the feel of the original movies, and we’re so excited to see the origins of the organization.

A brief trailer made the rounds a while back, but it didn’t give us a really great glimpse into what we could expect from The King’s Man. However, in the new full trailer, we see that The King’s Man is out to stop a group of tyrants from stopping a global war that will wipe out millions.

The King’s Man is set against the backdrop of World War I, so there are quite a few familiar faces from history that pop up in this flick. The Tsar and Tsarina of Russia, Nicholas the II and Alexandra Feodorovna appear, General Erich Ludendorff, Kaiser Wilhelm, and the infamous Rasputin.

While we love the other Kingsman movies, this prequel will have the added fun of not only introducing us to the foundation of the world of Kingsman but will have a real historical foundation to play with. Obviously, we all know WWI happened and we also know that the war ended up being one of the deadliest, killing around 37 million people, civilian and military.

So unless The King’s Man is going to take a Quentin Tarantino approach and do some creative rewriting of history, we know where this story is going to end up. Still, we can’t wait to see how The King’s Man weaves in this new spy organization into history, and how the war helped shape the organization.

Unfortunately, we have a bit of a wait for this one. The King’s Man opens in movie theaters on February 14, 2020. So be sure to mark your calendars!
