All good things come to those who can wait. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix is coming to American and European players’ PS3s, while Battlefield 4 will be for “next-generation consoles!”
Square Enix EU stated on its official website that the HD remakes of KH1: Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days be localized in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish “this fall.”
The game was hinted at being localized earlier this month when Roxas’ voice actor Jessie McCartney Instagrammed himself in the recording booth with Roxas on the screen. The picture was quickly taken down, but fans of Kingdom Hearts were quick to screenshot the post.
The last Kingdom Hearts title to be released was Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS this past summer. There is still no word of the status of the hotly anticipated KH3.
However, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which is the KH team’s current project, has been recently rumored of being developed for “next-gen consoles.”
IGN went on to quote EA labels president Frank Gibeau as saying “We’ve been investing and innovating on new technology for months. Console partners who have seen our early work agree, EA’s next-gen software is nothing short of astonishing.”
A new Battlefield game was stated as coming out “next year.” Battlefield 4 is assumed to be that game. Battlefield 3 was released for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2011, with DLC released intermediately up until December 2012.
The Battlefield series started in 2002 with Battlefield 1942, and has since then seen 12 iterations for multiple consoles and devices. The official site for the series can be accessed here.
