Now that the Kingdom Hearts 3 theatrical trailer has been released online, we can get a better look at what we can expect out of the beautiful Disney worlds for the upcoming game.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check it out below.

In it, Sora, Donald, and Goofy traverse through the Disney worlds of Kingdom Hearts 3, including the worlds from Frozen, Tangeled, and Pirates of the Carribean. The sound effects are all amped up a notch to make the trailer feel more epic, as is the humor (the Toy Story aliens moment, for instance).

Besides giving us a glimpse of the stories we’ll get to play through, the Kingdom Hearts 3 theatrical trailer took the time to appreciate the beauty of each of its Disney franchises.

Starting off, we have this shot of Rapunzel and Flynn enjoying the floating lanterns. The reflection of the lights in the water, along with the sheer multitude of rendered assets in this shot goes to show what beauty you can accomplish using the Unreal Engine for development.

While we’ve already seen Ariel’s summon, we have a new presentation for it this time around. The crystal clear quality of her water streams are so beautiful and life-like, making us almost okay with her not having a full world this time around.

Sora and Baymax soar at the speed of light over a very realistic looking San Fransokyo. The neons contrast very well with the darker colors of this shot.

The Black Pearl setting sail on the ocean looks incredibly real. Seriously, if you were shown this shot out of context, you might think it was a real photograph.

The final shot of the 13 Darknesses gathering at Master Xehanort’s beckon is chilling. Y’all, it’s going to be so much fun to kick all of their asses.

Kingdom Hearts 3 releases for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019.
