Kingdom Hearts fans are no strangers to waiting a long time for localization announcements. Fortunately, it seems as though Roxas’ voice actor Jesse McCartney may have leaked that the latest KH1Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days remake for the PlayStation 3 is coming to English speaking territories!

In instagram photos and of a video of himself in the recording booth, in which he acts out battle grunts for Roxas, Jesse McCartney revealed that he is indeed recording the English voice recordings for his blonde alter-ego. According to KHinsider.com, the video has since been deleted, but the pictures can still be viewed below.

McCartney was recording voiceovers for his 358/2 Days scenes, which was originally a DS game. 358 will have more spoken dialogue than the DS version’s, and will feature full length HD cut scenes to accompany the newly voiced scenes.

KH HD 1.5 ReMix will also have KH1‘s ‘final mix,’ which added new features for the Japanese market when it was originally released for the PlayStation 2. Lastly, Chain of Memories, already remade for the PlayStation 2, and originally for the Game Boy Advance, will see an HD remake.

The official cover art for the Japanese version of the game has been released on Square Enix Japan’s online product page, featuring some new artwork fit to whet the appetite of any Kingdom Hearts fan.

KHinsider went on to cite that the confirmed running time for the theatre mode of 358 will be a lengthy 2 hours and 50 minutes, and that the music for that game will be remastered using real instruments. The music portion will be supervised by the series’ composer Yoko Shimomura.

It was also reported by KHinsider that the role of Xion for 358 may be fulfilled by Camp Rock‘s Alyson Stoner. Stoner recently stated on her official website that she will be “voicing a familiar character in a popular video game.” Stoner voiced both Xion in 358 and Naminé in Re:Chain of Memories.

What do you make of all of this new Kingdom Hearts news? Are you excited about playing HD versions of some of the series’ older games? Or will you only be excited when Kingdom Hearts 3 is confirmed?

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix will release in Japan on March 14, 2013.
