The only requirement is that it must give us the burning need to open our wallets and throw money at its creator.
With the news that Disney is releasing The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki on Blu-ray, nothing seemed more appropriate this week than a related item to match.
Enter Her Universe, with the most perfect timing, and their new Studio Ghibli collection. Revealed during their fashion show at San Diego Comic-Con, each design in the Ghibli collection captures the whimsy and beauty of their respective films perfectly — but, of course, we all have our favorites.
Mine is this tank top from Kiki’s Delivery Service. It features the titular character, Kiki, and the bakery that she makes her deliveries out of. The colors are so vivid, that it really feels as though the film is coming to life right on the tank. It also helps that the name of the bakery is also present, which is a pun! There’s nothing I love more than a good pun — no matter the language they’re in.
I found this adorable hat on Etsy in a child’s size and frantically searched the shop for an adult size. Lo and behold, it does exist! Thank you, HaldaneCreations, for recognizing that there are some big minions in the world, too.
It’s so simple, yet so adorable, and I love that you can get one with a bow, if you so wish.
