Although Kick-Ass is a great credit to have, Jane Goldman also penned Daniel Radcliffe’s upcoming The Woman in Black and is also partially responsible for the successes of Stardust and X-Men:First Class.

Tim Burton is currently in talks to direct the feature, although the report from Deadline (via Slashfilm) makes it perfectly clear that he is not totally committed to the project. His 2012 release schedule already includes Frankenweenie and Dark Shadows, so it may be possible that he’ll pass on the project.

20th Century Fox seems to have taken a shine to Goldman, they are hoping she’ll reteam with Matthew Vaughn for a sequel to X-Men:First Class. For those who have read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, does a Goldman/Burton team-up seem adequate to take on the novel?
