Kevin Feige’s upcoming Star Wars film has officially found it writer in Michael Waldron.

According to Deadline, Michael Waldron has officially been tapped to pen the script for an upcoming Star Wars movie set to be developed by none other than Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige.

News that the Marvel Studios head was gearing up to dip his toes into the world of Star Wars first broke back in September 2019.

As for Waldron, he and Feige are no strangers to working together. Specifically, Waldron is no stranger to taking on projects within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The screenwriter recently wrote the script for the highly anticipated Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness. In addition, Waldron is also currently serving as head writer and executive producer on the highly anticipated Loki series coming down the pipeline at Disney+.

Fans of George Lucas’ iconic space odyssey itching for more details with regards to what Feige and Waldron will cook up for their Star Wars movie will have to sit tight.

Plot details are non existent for now, but it’s still exciting to know that things seem to be moving along production-wise behind the scenes!

Elsewhere, Disney and Lucasfilm have a few Star Wars projects coming down the pipeline— including a slew of original series set to debut via Disney+, so it’s clear that fans of the franchise won’t be left starving when it comes to content to consume in the coming years.
