Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s Kelly Marie Tran documented her preparations for the world premiere, and proved that she really is one of us.

Tran plays Rose Tico in The Last Jedi, a Resistance mechanic who teams up with John Boyega’s Finn for unexpected adventures. Plucked from the flooded field of struggling comedic actors in Los Angeles, Tran has quickly become a darling of Star Wars fans who have followed her infectious journey to international stardom.

If you’re not yet convinced, know that she wore her lucky Ravenclaw tie to several Star Wars auditions. Going once, going twice, SOLD.

Brand-new to the experience of glitzy premieres, Kelly Marie Tran documented her preparations for The Last Jedi world premiere on Instagram.

She started off her day with a run, burning off nervous energy and relishing her totally un-stealth identity.

Next, Tran upped the ante. Donning the home-made porg costume she wore on Halloween, the Star Wars star went out to get her nails done — still totally incognito!

Continuing to live her best (porg) life, Tran then shared the contents of her Premiere Survival Kit, which is every bit as adorable as she is. Snacks and a Buzz Lightyear sweater? We’re just MELTING!

Tran was also preparing to share her snacks with co-star John Boyega, who got in just under the wire after a dramatic delayed flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles.

Boyega’s Star Wars family was only too happy to offer advice in the midst of the crisis.

Back in LA, Tran was making her last-minute preparations before getting glam for the premiere. What are friends for, after all?

Finally, it was time for the big debut… and Kelly Marie’s adoring fans did not disappoint!

Tran didn’t have much time to ‘gram on the red carpet, but Star Wars: Battlefront II actress Janina Gavankar caught a lovely human moment at the premiere, when Tran and Daisy Ridely hugged it out amidst the crowd.

Tran clearly had an amazing time at the Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiere, writing emotionally about the unforgettable evening.

Oh, and yes — she wore the shoes!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on Dec. 15.
