Katy Perry’s new song “Roar” is just warming up on the Top 40 charts and already we’re being treated to additional music from her forthcoming studio album Prism.

The pop superstar will be the closing act at this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards held in Brooklyn, New York. There, she’ll provide the first live performance of “Roar.”

Throughout the weekend, Pepsi (who Perry has a promotional campaign with) will be encouraging fans to tweet using the hashtag #Katynow, which will help them unlock new information about Prism like song lyrics.

What’s more: The clues will allow you to listen to two songs from Prism titled “Dark Horse” and “Walking On Air” and vote for the one you like more. The winning song will be announced during Perry’s “Roar” performance, and then the single will be officially released on September 17.

We’ll be sure to share the new Katy Perry songs as soon as they surface online. Unfortunately “Dark Horse” and “Walking On Air” will only be shared in preview form this weekend, so you’ll have to wait a couple more weeks to enjoy one of these two songs in full. We presume that the runner up will be released a couple of weeks following the mid-September single.

Other than Perry, numerous artists are scheduled to perform including Lady Gaga with her new single “Applause.”
