13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford is continuing her relationship with Netflix.

According to Deadline, actress Katherine Langford is gearing up to star in an upcoming Arthurian Legend based Netflix original.

Titled Cursed, the forthcoming series is based off an upcoming illustrated young adult novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler.

The story is a re-imagined take on Arthurian legend, but instead of centering on the Once and Future King, it is told through the eyes of Nimue (played by Langford). In this iteration, Nimue is a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who will one day grow to become a powerful figure known as the Lady of the Lake.

Nimue crosses paths with a young mercenary named Arthur shortly after her mother’s death. From there, the pair set off on a quest to find Merlin in an effort to deliver an ancient sword.

Langford aside, Cursed has some recognizable names working to bring it to life behind the scenes. Currently the crew includes both Frank Miller (Sin City) and Tom Wheeler (Puss In Boots).

Both Miller and Wheeler will be credited as creators and executive producers of the new Netflix entity, with Wheeler also serving as a writer on the series. Miller and Wheeler are both currently working on an illustrated young adult novel version of the story, with Wheeler serving as writer, and Miller as illustrator.

Unfortunately, those looking to sink their teeth into Miller and Wheeler’s book will have to wait. the novel won’t be published via Simon & Schuster until later this fall.

Netflix has also tapped Ray Donovan and Jessica Jones alumn Zenta Fuentes to work on the project. Fuentes will be directing the series, and additionally will serve as executive producer on the first two episodes.

The online streaming platform has given Cursed a 10-episode series order to start, but there’s no word yet on when it’ll premiere.
