According to Variety, actress Kate Walsh has officially signed on to return to reprise her role in a guest starring appearance on Grey’s Anatomy season 18.
Walsh is set to return to reprise her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery in what is being described as a multi-episode arc.
Unfortunately, fans itching to find out how she’ll fit into the folds of the medical drama’s newest season will have to sit tight. Specifics as to why Addison will return are being kept under wraps for the time being.
Kate Walsh was on hand to share the exciting news of her upcoming return in a video message shared through the official Shondaland TV twitter account.

“It feels so good to be home again joining Shonda [Rhimes], Ellen [Pompeo] and the rest of the incredible cast on season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy,” said the actress. “Just wait until you see what she’s got in store for you.”
