We’re still waiting for Kanye West’s next album, but at least we know we can look forward to this Jesus is King documentary.

Kanye West’s ninth studio album has now missed a whopping three “official” release dates, including one that was set for Friday, September 27. The album, which was formerly titled Yandhi, is now titled Jesus is King and is expected to drop at any time.

On Friday, September 27, Kanye West held a special edition of his “Sunday service” gathering in Detroit, where he played attendees the Jesus is King album, followed by the documentary film of the same name.

Variety is now reporting that the documentary will be released in IMAX theatres on October 25, 2019, so we can probably count on the album being released by then, at least!

The Jesus is King documentary was filmed in summer 2019. Jesus Is King brings Kanye West’s famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, visionary artist James Turrell’s never-before-seen installation in Arizona’s Painted Desert.”

We always love concert movies, and this one seems like it will be really special. We can’t wait to hear the ninth studio album by Kanye West, when it’s finally released, and see the accompanying documentary, Jesus is King, on October 25!
