Despite previous reports that Justin Timberlake was back in the studio working on a follow-up to 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, the former ‘Nsync singer’s publicist says there is no album in the works.

Britney Spears and Katy Perry producer Jim Beanz told Digital Spy that Timberlake and producer/rapper/songwriter Timbaland are collaborating on a “crazy” new album to follow up the successful FutureSex/LoveSounds, which brought the world “Sexy Back.”

“When I get back to the States I’m going to be helping out on Shock Value 3 with Timbaland and the Justin Timberlake project,” Beanz told Digital Spy.

“It’s still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks,” he added. “While I’ve been over here in the UK, they’ve been working, so by the time I get back they’ll have a whole load of ideas and I’m going to have to catch up!”

But Billboard reached out to JT’s publicist, who said there are no plans for a new album.

JT is, however, filming Runner Runner with Ben Affleck in Puerto Rico. He’s also working with Timbaland on Shock Value 3, according to Entertainment Weekly.
