Interestingly, Justin Timberlake has been hired to compose the soundtrack and serve as the music supervisor for the upcoming film, The Devil in the Deep Blue Sea.

Jessica Biel (7th Heaven), Timberlake’s fiance, will star in the film with Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass, Hugo) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural).  Bill Purple, who has worked on the sets of New Girl and Bad Teacher will direct the script he wrote with Robbie Pickering (Natural Selection).

Timberlake will, for the first time, compose a soundtrack for this film.

THR writes:

Set in New Orleans, Deep Blue Sea follows Henry (Dean Morgan), a grieving widower who recently lost his wife (Biel) in a tragic car accident, as he finds refuge by helping a wisecracking young girl (Moritz) fulfill her dream of building a raft and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.

What do you think about Timberlake composing the soundtrack? Do you think the music will be enjoyable? What do you think about the casting and plot?
