After a somewhat overhyped announcement the other day, Justin Timberlake’s new single “Suit & Tie” has been released digitally.

The new Justin Timberlake song, which features a strong horn section, is the first single off the singer’s upcoming album due later this year, The 20/20 Experience. It might be considered a mediocre return to the music scene by Timberlake fans as it’s not exactly a traditional pop tune. Listen below:

As long as I got my suit and tie,
I’mma leave it all on the floor tonight
And you got fixed up to the nines,
Lemme show ya a few things

Jay-Z appears about halfway through the song with a slow rap verse:

All black at the white shows,
White shoes at the black shows,
Green card for the Cuban links,
Sit back and enjoy the light show

There were rumors last week that Timberlake’s new song would feature not only Jay-Z but Beyonce as well, however she does not appear on this collaboration.

We’re not quite sure what we think of the return of Justin Timberlake’s signature falsetto singing on the Timbaland-produced tune. It feels like he picked up right where he left off in 2006 – and that may not be a good thing.
