Artist Justin Timberlake confirmed at his The 20/20 Experience album release party tonight at The El Ray Theater in Los Angeles that his latest work is only the first part of a fuller experience.

He did not reveal when the second album will be released, but Questlove – who was the person to initially reveal the news over the weekend – said it will drop in November.

Reuters’ Piya Sinha-Roy was at Timberlake’s release party and tweeted the news revealed by Timberlake:

As noted by Questlove over the weekend, the album title The 20/20 Experience was a hint in itself that Timberlake has more than the ten songs on his third studio album up his sleeve.

Timberlake has been busy promoting his new album. Earlier this month he hosted a well-received episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, and he spent all of last week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Following additional promoting over the next few weeks, he is planning a summer stadium tour with Jay-Z.

Do you think a second album from Timberlake this fall is too soon for the artist? Or do you trust he’s got a solid plan in the works? Those who haven’t enjoyed The 20/20 Experience think it’s a mistake, while longtime fans will naturally welcome another ten songs.
