After some not so subtle tweeting on his part yesterday, it has been confirmed that Justin Bieber will be both hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live in February.
Yesterday, the Biebs tweeted the following about hosting and performing on the late night comedy show:
“maybe im hosting and performing on SNL…maybe. :)”
Well, that pretty much says it all, right?
This tweet led Billboard.com to confirm that Bieber will in fact be pulling the elusive double duty of hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live on February 9th.
UPDATE: Not a shocker, but NBC has now formally announced this news.
Fans of the heart throb may remember when Justin Bieber performed on Saturday Night Live back in April 2010 when Tina Fey hosted. He was also a part of a sketch where he basically just flipped his hair back and forth and serenaded the former head writer.
Other notable artists who have pulled double duty of hosting + performing are Elton John, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez.
Bieber will be heading to New York City to promote his new album Believe Acoustic which is the stripped down acoustic version of his album Believe, due out in stores on January 29th. Are you excited for Justin Bieber to host and perform on Saturday Night Live in February?
