Justin Bieber will be flying to outer space some day in the future thanks to Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space flight program.

Branson took to his official Twitter yesterday to announce the news:

Bieber himself responded to Branson’s tweet on his own Twitter account:

Virgin Galactic is currently accepting books which cost $250,000 per person. Deposits are refundable should you change your mind.

“Once confirmed, you’re given priority access to a variety of Virgin Galactic events,” they write on their official website. “Our future astronauts have visited Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson, completed G-force training, celebrated milestone powered test flights in the Mojave Desert and much more.”

We don’t know whether Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun paid for the $250,000 ticket or the $1.25 million one. The latter is a private charter which takes you and up to five friends on your own private flight.

The first public space flight, which Branson says he will be aboard, is scheduled for December 25 of this year.

Over 600 people have completed a Virgin Galactic booking, so unless Bieber gets special priority, he may be waiting a couple years to fly.

Lance Bass and Ashton Kutcher are other celebrities who have booked flights on the first ever public outer space flight program.
