A slew of new information on Justice League was revealed this morning, including the film’s synopsis, logo, and the villain!

Justice League began filming last week at Warner Bros. Leavesden studios and some lucky sites got an early set visit. Among them was Screen Rant who released the synopsis this morning. Though the synopsis is pretty vague and doesn’t reveal any new information, it does list Henry Cavill as part of the main cast which leads us to believe Superman could be coming back relatively early in the film.

Read the synopsis for Justice League below:

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, this marks the big screen debut of the Justice League, featuring an all-star lineup: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher.”

The villain of Justice League has also been revealed to be Steppenwolf, and not Darkseid like many fans thought. It’s being reported that the design of Steppenwolf will be more alien/demon than human, and will be all CGI. The studio has not yet chosen an actor to voice the character but they may be close to deciding.

Another tidbit of information released is that Willem Dafoe will portray Nuidis Vulko. Vulko is Aquaman’s chief scientific adviser as well as a notorious political and academic figure in the comics.
