The long awaited Snyder Cut is gearing up to bring Justice League fans more extra footage than they could ever hope for.

The Snyder Cut has been a long time coming, and while DCEU fans will still have to wait until next year before they can experience it, the director generously offered up some exciting tidbits with regards to what we can all expect over the weekend.

During a virtual appearance at DC FanDome over the weekend, Zack Snyder officially revealed that the Snyder Cut would officially be released in four one-hour parts via HBO Max. It’ll also be bundled up in one long movie for those who want to experience it in full.

Fans who live in a region where HBO Max is unavailable need not fret. Though the details haven’t been hammered out just yet, the studio is currently working on a distribution plan for those markets.

According to Total Film, Snyder also teased expanded story arcs for both Cyborg and The Flash.

“Cyborg is at the heart of the movie. He’s the thing that holds the team together in the end. I’m excited for fans to see how that’s realized on camera,” said the director.

Speaking to Barry Allen’s character, Snyder continued: “You’re going to see tons more of The Flash…a little bit more of his emotional arc, and I hope the fans enjoy seeing that…you’re going to see something with The Flash in this film that I don’t think you’ve ever seen…he’s a quantum character, so you might see him do something.”

Finally, fans were treated to a three-minute long trailer that offers up a fantastic first look at the Snyder Cut.

Set to a version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” the new trailer plays up the gritty high stakes situation the Justice League must face down for the sake of saving the world as we know it.

The Justice League Snyder Cut is set to debut via HBO Max sometime in 2021.
