A teaser for the first Jurassic World trailer has just been released and features the first actual footage!

For a few days, the official Jurassic World website has featured a countdown ending 9 PM EST Thursday November 27 (Thanksgiving). We’ve been hoping that the website was counting down to the release of the Jurassic World trailer, and a new teaser released by the film’s official social networking accounts has revealed that to be true.

This is the first time we’re getting a glimpse of any of the dinosaurs in Jurassic World, and at the very least we can’t say we’re disappointed. We aren’t ready to completely judge the digital effects based on such a short clip, but at the very least things look promising.

Though the glimpses are just brief, we have to say we got some goosebumps seeing Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in action in this teaser, and we can’t wait to see more of them on Thursday.

Jurassic World will be hitting theaters on June 12, 2015, so it’s great to see some footage before the year closes.

Starring alongside Pratt and Howard in Jurassic World are Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Katie McGrath, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lauren Lapkus, Omar Sy, and Jurassic Park vet BD Wong.

Jurassic World was originally written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, but Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly took over screenwriting duties when Trevorrow signed on to direct. We’re big fans of Trevorrow’s first film Safety Not Guaranteed that he wrote with Connolly, so we’re very hopeful about Jurassic World.
