Jurassic World casting tidbits continue with the possible casting of Kings of Summer ‘s Nick Robinson.

Nick Robinson may be heading from one fantasy world to another as reports have surfaced that have him in talks to join the production of Jurassic World, the forthcoming installment of the Jurassic Park series.

The 18-year-old star of the ABC family comedy Melissa & Joey was reportedly looked at early on in the film’s production before delays halted casting.

Variety is reporting that Robinson would play the older brother of Ty Simpkin’s character.

We reported yesterday that Simpkins has landed the lead role in the film due out in 2015.

Bryce Dallas Howard is also reportedly in talks to play a role in the film, but no confirmations have been made.

All though almost nothing is known about the film, Jurassic World is reportedly being set up as a reboot of the series. Plot details are being kept quiet, but the casting gives us a few clues as to who the story will center around.

We imagine the production process will be a long one with a film of this magnitude, so the cast should come together sooner rather than later. There has not been confirmation as of yet on whether original stars of the first three films would return for the fourth. In May, original star Sam Neil said he had not been approached to star in the film.

Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) is directing and co-writing the script with Derek Connolly. Earlier this year, Universal expressed confidence in Trevorrow’s ability to make a film that would please fans and bring something new for the next generation.

“We could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create another great chapter in this franchise’s storied history,” The studio wrote.

Jurassic World is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
