Update: Jurassic World 3 has found its newest cast members in Venom vet Scott Haze and Altered Carbon actress Dichen Lachman.

According to Deadline, actor Scott Haze has officially joined the cast of Colin Trevorrow’s highly anticipated third installment of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World 3.

Unfortunately, fans of the franchise curious to find out who Haze will play in the threequel and how he’ll fit into the story will have to be patient. Currently, there haven’t been any details released regarding Haze’s character.

Haze joins returning Jurassic World cast members Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Mamoud Athie. DeWanda Wise, as well as original movie stars Laura Dern, Sam Niel, and Jeff Goldblum, all of whom have signed on to reprise their roles in the third movie.

Haze isn’t the only newcomer who’s joined the cast of the Colin Trevorrow helmed action movie.

In fact, just a few days ago, it was announced that Altered Carbon actress Dichen Lachman had also just joined the cast of the threequel.

Jurassic World 3 has cast Altered Carbon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and The 100 actress Dichen Lachman.

Jurassic World is a franchise that boasts big dinosaurs and even bigger stars.

The threequel will of course have Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as Owen and Claire from the first two movies of the series. It will also bring back Laura Dern, Sam Neil, and Jeff Goldblum — the three leads who starred in the original Jurassic Park.

We’ll also have a few newcomers to the upcoming film, such as DeWanda Wise, known for her lead role in the Netflix hit, She’s Gotta Have It, and was also a breakout star in the Gina Rodriguez headlined Netflix romcom, Someone Great.

Now Deadline has broken the the news that Dichen Lachmen will also be joining the cast alongside Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and DeWanda Wise.

Dichen Lachman is known for her roles as Jiaying on ABC/Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She likewise played Frankie on the TNT series Animal Kingdom, Reileen Kawahara on the Netflix series Altered Carbon and Anya on The CW’s The 100. Lachman will also star in the upcoming comedy film Bad Therapy starring Alicia Silverstone, Haley Joel Osment and Rob Corddry.

Jurassic World 3 will see the return of director Colin Treverrow, who directed the first film but yielded control of the second movie to J.A. Bayona.

That first Jurassic World went on to gross $1.67 billion worldwide and is currently the sixth-highest-grossing film in cinema history. In addition to his directing duties, Trevorrow will also consult with Steven Spielberg and producer of Frank Marshall on the management of the growing Jurassic Park/World brand, which includes video games, toys, novels, animated Lego series and theme parks.

Steven Spielberg will likewise return to executive produce, once again partnering with producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. Universal’s senior vice president of production Sara Scott is overseeing production on behalf of the studio.

Jurassic World 3 will be released in theaters on June 11, 2021.
