Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has announced that he’ll be producing and starring in a remake of the classic ’90s movie Jumanji.

The Rock shared the news on Instagram Friday morning. “It’s official. We’ll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all time favs: There’s games you play for fun… then there’s games that change your life. JUMANJI. Working on edging up an already very good script with my @sevenbucksprod team. Up next is meeting with our producer Matt Tolmach and director Jake Kasdan. Shooting starts this fall.

Promise to deliver something cool and special.. and not screw the whole damn thing up;). As always I’ll keep you posted. This is gonna be fun.”

Recent reports have indicated that Kevin Hart is also in talks to star in the Jumanji remake, but the comedian has yet to confirm the news.

The Rock and Kevin Hart star opposite one another in the new comedy Central Intelligence which hits theaters this summer. Check out a trailer if you want to get a sense of what the two could be like together on screen in Jumanji:

The Rock is currently filming a new Baywatch movie with Zac Efron, and he’ll voice a character in Walt Disney Animation’s next movie Moana, a musical adventure, which opens in November. Meanwhile, the actor continues to star in new Fast & Furious movies, and will play Shazam’s Black Adam for Warner Brothers and DC in 2019.

The original Jumanji starred Robin Williams, Jonathan Hyde, and Kirsten Dunst, so naturally many moviegoers are skeptical about this story getting a remake.
