Julianne Moore will be returning to 30 Rock for the series finale on January 31, reprising her role as Jack Donaghy’s love interest, Nancy Donovan. Your move, Avery Jessup.

Moore let the news slip when responding the the AP regarding her Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Sarah Palin in HBO’s TV movie, Game Change.

“I’m in a van on my way to Queens to do ’30 Rock,'” she said. “I heard the news this morning right before yoga. I was just about to shut off my phone. Unfortunately, I knew the nominations were being announced, so I was worried.”

Nancy Donovan (or DAAAAHHWN-UH-VAHHN as it must always be announced in an atrocious Boston accent), of course, was the losing side of Jack Donaghy’s love triangle with conservative TV pundit Avery Jessup (Elizabeth Banks) back in season 5.

Jack saw Nancy as a comfortable reminder of his past and Avery as an exciting opportunity for his future. He did end up with Avery though his hand was kind of forced there through an unexpected pregnancy. With Avery now out of the picture, having been kidnapped by Kim Jong-Un and realizing that she and Jack only ever got together for the baby (this show must sound so ridiculous to anyone who has never watched it), could the door be open for romantic sparks between Jack and Nancy again? Or will she just get kidnapped by Kim Jong-Un?
