Sunday, the Judas Redux Kickstarter campaign ended with both an impressive financial total and finalized cast list. Read more to see how much the group raised and who will be joining the production.

The Judas Redux Kickstarter closed yesterday with a remarkable 1,577 backers and $62,809 dollars worth of pledges. Not only did the group reach their initial goal of $36,000 but they also managed to reach both of their stretch goals as well. Outsiders may be incredibly surprised by the final results of the campaign, but for fans of Team StarKid, the outcome can’t be very shocking. The Judas team branched off from the original theater group but have remained close to their roots by incorporating many familiar faces into the new project.

First to join the production was Joey Richter, Brian Rosenthal and Lauren Lopez. We then received word that that Dylan Sanuders and Joe Walker would also be a part of the resurrected play. Several more casting announcements were made shortly before the closing of the Kickstarter as well – Daniel Strauss and Liam White were added, along with Britney Coleman, Ali Gordon, and Nico Ager. Their video introductions and credentials were listed earlier by the Judas team:

JUDAS REDUX: Introducing the Cast – Part 3

Daniel Strauss is ecstatic to be joining the cast of Judas: Redux! After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2007 with a BFA in Theater Performance, Daniel moved to Chicago to pursue improv and comedy. Since then, he has performed at the iO Theater, the Playground Theater, the Upstairs Gallery, and is an alum of the Second City National Touring Company. Hobbies include watching baseball, playing video games, and extreme bodybuilding (okay, one of those was a lie, I hate baseball). Daniel can be found online at danielstrauss.com, and on Twitter @DanielStrauss.

Liam White grew up in Ann Arbor, MI, where he went on to attend the University of Michigan, receiving degrees in both acting and filmmaking. Though he has since focused his efforts almost exclusively on directing (some recent projects include the music video for Charlene Kaye’s Forever Is A Long Time and the live concert filming of Team Starkid’s Apocalyptour), he couldn’t be more excited to be acting yet again, especially in the company of some of his best friends.

JUDAS REDUX: Introducing the Cast – Part 4

Britney Coleman is crazy excited to join the cast of Judas! A native of Ann Arbor, MI, she received her BFA in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan, where she met the likes of a crazy talented group of people now known as Team Starkid! Since graduating UofM and post AVPM, AVPS and AVPSY, she’s moved to NYC and performed in regional productions of Tarzan, Hairspray, State Fair, Big River, Into the Woods and Karen O and Adam Rapp’s Stop the Virgens. She was JUST in the Chicago area last fall playing Deena in Dreamgirls at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theater and is thrilled to return to her midwest roots again. She’s currently reprising the role of Deena in Dreamgirls at the Fulton Opera House and Maine State Music Theater this summer! She couldn’t be more excited to do this incredible show with such a fantastic group of people!!

Nico Ager is thrilled to be a part of Judas Redux. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of Michigan where he obtained his BFA in acting. Since graduating, he could be seen in several Detroit area productions including Dog Sees God (Magenta Giraffe), Cloud Tectonics (New Theater Project), and Mercury Fur (Ringwald). A resident of Chicago since 2011, acting credits here include Holy Musical B@Man! (Starkid), Thirty Thousand One (Pursuit Productions), and Skriker (Red Tape). He would like to thank his friends, and the rest of the U of M acting alum community for staying so close, Julia without whom this would not be possible, his family, and of course, Anna.

Ali Gordon is a native New Yorker with a passion for theatre, good breakfast foods, and the music of Phish. She is crazy excited to be joining this cast of Judas, as the first incarnation of this production was the first Basement Arts show she ever saw at U of M and it knocked her socks off. Ali has been seen recently at the Weston Playhouse in Vermont as Chava in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and Lucy in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. In New York, Ali played the role of Miriam in a workshop of the new musical, TELL ME ALL. Proud U of M graduate (Class of 2012). While in school, Ali received the Dennis McIntyre Award for Undergraduate Playwrighting for her work on the new musical GIBSON FLECK. Check out sketch comedy project FAR FROM FAMOUS! @FfFComedy
