ABC’s The View has had a revolving door of co-hosts over the past few months, but the latest addition may help steady things out.

The network announced Tuesday afternoon that former The View co-host Joy Behar is returning to the show after departing two years ago.

Joy was an original co-host on the show when it launched in 1997, and she stayed on the morning talker through 2013. In the two years she’s been off The View, Joy has made a slew of guest appearances.

“As The View embarks on a remarkable 19th season, I am extremely proud to see the legacy of smart and diverse women engaging in entertaining and thought-provoking conversation continue,” said Barbara Walters, creator and executive producer in a press release.

“Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in,” said Joy Behar. “Plus, Steve was getting tired of applauding every time I gave my opinion. But I’m happy to be back home. And I’m looking forward to sticking my two cents into the hot topics, especially now that Hillary and the Donald are in the spotlight.”

ABC also announced today that Full House alum Candace Cameron Bure and Good Morning America Weekend’s Paula Faris will be joining the program. The three ladies join previously established co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symoné and Michelle Collins.

The View returns Tuesday, September 8 on ABC.
