The Hunger Games dream team appeared on Conan O’Brien’s talk show Thursday night and may’ve let slip a tidbit about the future of the series.

O’Brien, who brought his talk show down to San Diego Comic-Con for the week, asked Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth if Lionsgate is considering more films in The Hunger Games world.

That’s when Hutcherson perhaps got a little too loose-lipped. “There is…” Hutcherson said matter of factly in response to O’Brien’s question. But he slowly covered his mouth as he realized what he may’ve done. “Oh. I’m sorry. I’m sorry! I can’t say that sorry.”

“We’ll see what happens. I don’t… we’ll see what happens,” he added.

But the damage had already been done. O’Brien mocked Hutcherson’s quick turn around, and Lawrence began to wonder if they’d cast a younger, hotter version of her for a reboot.

Watch what happened below, and be sure to keep an eye on Lawrence’s face as she realizes what Hutcherson did:

This isn’t the first time we’re hearing about potential sequels/prequels, so Hutcherson won’t be getting into too much trouble. Lionsgate’s Jon Feltheimer had no problem admitting earlier this year that they’re considering spinoffs for The Hunger Games.

The most popular theory amongst the fans is that the studio will create prequels that look at the Hunger Games tournaments that major characters like Finnick, Johanna, and Haymitch went through before Katniss and Peeta went on their journeys.

The cast and crew of Mockingjay, Part 2 appeared in San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H yesterday to present a brand new trailer and a new propos video. They also participated in a fun Q&A with fans. Check out our wrap up report for all the details!
